Subject: CUI/AMT encoders opinions?
I've was wondering if anyone had experience with the CUI/AMT encoders
http://www.amtencoder.com/Resources/Frequently-Asked-Questions

There's a delay in the output for fast acceleration that catches up w/o lost pulses, but one person mentioned
they had tuning issues on EMC regarding this aspect. I'm not a super speed person. I just want the parts to be correct.
Really like the price of the AMT encoders.
any opinions on them?

I'm using an AMT encoder on my quill, and it works perfectly. They're much cheaper, and (according to Mariss Freimaniss at Gecko), they are much better than HEDS encoders. Plus they have selectable resolution.
